Description: This Data Product is an inventory of zoning text amendment cases reviewed by the Kenton County Planning Commission (KCPC) in Kenton County, Kentucky. Text amendments change the written zoning ordinance rather than the zoning map. Map amendments are maintained in a separate layer (Plan_Issues_KC). Because a text amendment applies to an entire jurisdiction rather than to specific parcels, each case is shown as a point at the city building of the jurisdiction whose zoning ordinance was amended. The point marks the jurisdiction, not the area affected by the amendment. Points will stack at the same location where a jurisdiction has more than one text amendment case. Each point represents a single case. This Data Product is intended for display, mapping, and analysis in support of current planning, community development projects, and other GIS work. It is a representation of text amendment cases and is not an official record of KCPC actions or of adopted ordinance language. Consult the adopted zoning ordinance for current regulations. This Data Product may change at any time without notice. The layer is updated as cases are submitted and as decisions are made. This Data Product is stored, edited and maintained as point geometry by Planning and Development Services of Kenton County (PDS) through LINK-GIS.
