This Data Product is an inventory of pre-applications for Kenton County Planning Commission (KCPC) cases in Kenton County, Kentucky. A pre-application represents a proposed KCPC case, such as a map amendment or development plan, at the stage before it is formally submitted to KCPC. Use this layer to find where KCPC cases are being prepared or considered. A pre-application is not a formal application, and no decision is made at this stage. Not every pre-application results in a formal case. Pre-applications that move forward appear as formal cases in Plan_Issues_KC. Because a parcel can be the subject of more than one pre-application, polygons may overlap where multiple pre-applications cover the same parcel(s). Each polygon represents a single pre-application. This Data Product is intended for display, mapping, and analysis in support of current planning, community development projects, and other GIS work. It is a representation of pre-applications and is not an official record of KCPC actions. It may change at any time without notice. The layer is updated as pre-applications are received.
