The Pendleton County Department of Planning &amp; Zoning works under the direction of the Pendleton County Joint Planning Commission and the Pendleton County Fiscal Court to help guide the future growth and development of Pendleton County in accordance with a comprehensive land use plan intended to protect the general health, safety and welfare of the public, while preserving our rural heritage.  The zoning regulations and districts as herein set forth have been prepared in accordance with an adopted Comprehensive Plan for Pendleton County to promote the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the adopting legislative bodies, to facilitate orderly and harmonious development and the visual or historical character of the adopting legislative bodies; and to regulate the locations of the use of property for agricultural and residential purposes and other property for business and other purposes; and to provide safety of transportation facilities; and to protect the environment and natural resources. The Pendleton County Zoning Ordinance is prepared pursuant to the authority of Kentucky Revised Statutes (K.R.S. 100.111-100.991) and become effective from and after the date of its approval and adoption as provided by law. <\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>Data Product is primarily intended for display, analysis, planning purposes, community development projects, and GIS-related analyses.
